What is a XLSX file?
An XLSX file is an XML format Excel spreadsheet file that was developed by Microsoft.
These files contain multiple different worksheets stored in the cells arranged in various rows and columns in the form of a grid. The spreadsheet cells can be individually formatted like you can add borders of different colors, change the color of the text or the number, its size, or even the style. Besides, the data stored can be a result of different math functions, and the sheets may contain charts too. These files are mostly used to store critical financial data like the business statements and to make pie charts, histograms, and other mathematical graphs; Excel can easily do many complex mathematical calculations within seconds. As far as the storage is concerned, the files are stored as a compressed zip archive. Lastly, this file has a size limit of 40Mb.
