What is a VSDX file?

Developed by Microsoft, the Visio 2013, a software capable of making technical illustrations, introduced the VSDX format to the world. The extension can store shapes, lines, and other necessary components required for a drawing. A typical VSDX file contains flowcharts, process diagrams, charts, and other complicated diagrams that need technical knowledge to create and comprehend.
The older version of the Visio software used the VDX (XML-based) or the VSD (binary-based). The 2013 version uses the Open Packaging Convention (OPC), which is based on XML too but comes with a ZIP compression tech to reduce the output size.
