What is a TWBX file?
A TWBX file is a data file developed by Tableau Desktop, which is a whiteboard data program for visualization and analysis purposes. The TWBX file is available in two main contents. These are the TWB main workbook file and all workbook data which includes but not limited to the external source data. The TWBX primary function is for the packaging of the data into a combined record for ease of distribution and sharing. Despite the importance of this file, the main challenge of using it is that it is limited for use by the Tableau desktop and other Tableau software. However, Tableau offers free software for accessing such files, including Tableau reader. TWBX files have a slight variation with their counterparts TWB workbook files. The main difference is that TWBX files can store data to the external data source only, and not the external data itself.
