What is a STW file?
Developed by StarOffice, the STW format stores text document created by the software in the form of templates. The software is a predecessor of the Apache OpenOffice (previously known as OpenOffice.org). The StarOffice was a part of the Sun Microsystem’s StarOffice suite. The StarOffice 6 and the Apache OpenOffice version 1 used the STW file format, but the next iterations shifted to ODT extension.
