What is a SHX file?
Developed by Autodesk, its AutoCAD uses the SHX extension to store a font or a shape compiled by it using the SHP or the PFB format. It allows users to create smaller blocks that they frequently use and then insert them in their future works. The program also lets the user define the location, scale, and rotation of the same. An SHX file supports TrueType and Type 1 PostScript fonts and can store definitions about the shape or font and can present custom styles too.
