What is an OFX file?
Developed by Open Finance Exchange Consortium, the OFX extension refers to a finance data file in the Open Financial Exchange format. A financial institution generally sends these files to its account holders as bank or credit card statements. It contains their details, transaction overview, and other relevant information. The format is based on SGML develop by Intuit, CheckFree, and Microsoft in 1997.
