What is a MDF file?
Developed by Alcohol Software, its Alcohol 120% uses the MDF (Media Descriptor File) file extension. These are binary format disk image files which store the actual DVD or CD data along with a corresponding MDS file containing the header and track information. It saves the “raw” image of an optical disk which means the image is precise, bit-for-bit copy of the original. The MDF file is no longer in use and considers obsolete.
