What is a JT file?
An ODM file is a media shortcut file to another file located in the digital library reserve. Such files include a music file, audiobook, or eBooks. The ODM file must be processed, which is usually done by the overdrive media console. Once that is over, then the actual file is downloaded once the ODM file is opened. Files that contain the ODM extension are most often associated with OpenOffice OpenDocument software application, which can process and download the required file from it. All the ODM documents that require this application contain global text documents that are usually saved in the XML format. Once the XML is extracted, then the main file within it is used for the purposes it was intended for. One advantage that ODM files confer as a mode of storage of media shortcuts is that since it is located in the digital reserve, then ease of access is guaranteed without the requirement of unique applications.
