What is an EDF file?
ACCA Edificus CAD is the creator of EDF files. Each time a user opens the software and saves a project, an EDF file is created. The files fall under the CAD files and are used for designing 2D and 3D architectural projects. Architects, engineers and construction professionals are the ones who use these files a lot. The file contains various features of a project. Some of these features include the terrain, the building design which could be a balcony slab inclination, window fixture model, door width and roofing material. Some GANTT charts may also be included.
Additionally, you may also find videos of the design as well as photorealistic renderings. This file is strictly compatible with the Edificus software. You cannot view the files if you do not have this software. The software is not free. However, they have a trial version which you can use to view your EDF files. Alternatively, you can ask the person sending it to you to first export it into a DXF, DWG, OBJ, SKP, DAE, STL, PLY or IFC formats.
