What is a CUR file?
The CUR extension refers to a cursor image used by Microsoft Windows operating system. The format stores animations which can be assigned to the mouse pointer to change the way they look. Microsoft 3.x first introduced it, and it has seen been a part of the Windows OS. Since Windows 95, the ANI extension, which has better animations and colored pointers, has reduced its relevance.
The CUR format is not a compressed format, but the overall graphics doesn’t have too much to become significant in size.
