What is a PKF file?
Developed by Adobe, its Adobe Audition, an audio production software, uses the PKF (Audition Peak File) format. It is a part of the Creative Cloud suite, a hub of more than 20 programs, and employs the form to store audio signal (waveform) data in a visualized manner.
The binary audio file type was first introduced with Adobe Audition CS 5.5 and is similar to the PK format, the default extension of the earlier editions. But PKF contains floating-point data and can display visuals for anything above 0dB. The software automatically generates them when the user opens or imports a new audio file in it.
