What is an EDS file?
Ensoniq SQ80 or EDS is a disk image formatted to be used with Ensoniq SQ-80 synthesizer. The synthesizer was created in 1987 by Ensoniq. Back then, it was mainly used for disk image formats that would have file paths and sometimes music sequences. You may not find any EDS disk images today as they were rendered absolute. Opening an EDS file is not hard. If you have the right application on your computer, you only need to double click on it to access the files inside. If it does not open, you can try using a text editor as most file types contain unedited plain texts that are viewable. In case you are thinking of converting an .eds file to another format, please know that it is not possible. That could be because it contains information compatible with only one software. Also, if you lose data, you can recover and repair damaged EDS files.
