What is a PDE file?

PDE are source code files that are connected to Arduino, which is used in developing specific programs in Microsoft Windows. They are ideal for teaching students interested in gaining programming skills. Its main job is to prototype electronics for interactive electronic devices. Basically, it can regulate electronics on an Arduino circuit board. Any software written developed using Arduino is known as a sketche. That means you can create them on a text editor. Every PDE file you have worked with is stored in individual folders. Both the folder and .pde filename prefix are identical. The PDE file contains file information, such as images. Also, updated Arduino files read .INO extension. While the new version can still access .pde files, it is better to rename your work into .INO. Digital artists also use it to create source code animations and images. Since other files can also use the .pde extension, pay extra attention before downloading it to your computer.
