What is a PYD file?
PYD is derived from Python Dynamic Module. It is usable in Linux, Mac OS, and Windows computers. They are related to dynamic module files used in other applications written in Python Programing Language. PYD contains a set of python modules called out by other python software. The PYD files help improve the readability of program codes. Files by Python look a lot like DLL file in Windows, except PYD uses python programming language. For other Python software to access the contained library, they have to be stored as dynamic link libraries. If for any reason, you accidentally delete .pyd files or have formatted your machine, you can recover them from PYD backup. Just head on to the folder where the file was, right-click and press “restore previous versions.” The same goes for when you want to restore the data to its previous state. To import PYD files, use a compatible Python program.
