What is an ADF file?
An ADF file is a database file that was developed by ACTI which is a customer relationship management (CRM) application used for managing customers. The most important contents of the file are the customer contact data, which include the business information, the names, the email addresses, and the relationship history between a customer and a company. The ADF files are structured in a format that enables the customer relations information to be easily studied and interpreted for the benefit of the business. ADF files are saved in conjunction with the ALF lookup file. This is usually an extra file containing the metadata that is required to navigate back up and restore the ACTI database. ADF files can also be archived in the ACTI database backups, which utilize the BAK extension file. Since the formatting of these files is critical in the organization of the customers’ management data, Microsoft SQL server formatting is employed.
