What is a SAT file?
Developed by Spatial, the Standard ACIS Text (SAT) extension refers to a 3D model saved in the ACIS solid modeling engine. These files contain three-dimensional CAD files in a text format and allow easy exchange of information between CAD-compatible software. The SAT files are usually in ASCII format, but those in the binary form use the SAB extension instead.
