What is an ICA file?
Developed by Citrix, its application servers use the Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) extension. These files store the configuration information and a link to a server desktop environment or to a publisher application to allow connection to different servers. It enables users to access files or applications from remote locations without the need to possess them in their devices.
IBM used the ICA file extension back in the day for their IOCA graphics format, but it is no longer in use and hence considered obsolete.
