What is an APK file?
The Android Package File, APK file, is a package format that is used by Google’s Andriod for the distribution and installation of mobile apps. The app is first created and complied with Andriod Studios. Afterward, all of its components are placed in a container file, the APK file. The APK file has the program’s code, resources, assets, certificates, and manifest files. Because of Google Play or other app installers, most users do not see APK files. APK files are saved in ZIP format and can be opened by any ZIP decompressor if the file is renamed to include the ZIP extension.
