What is a WRI file?
Developed by Microsoft, its Microsoft Write software, a word processor, uses the WRI file format to create and save documents. It came with the earlier versions of Windows, beginning with 3.1, but WordPad replaced it in the 95 edition. Since then, the demand for WRI has fallen tremendously, and it has become virtually extinct now. You can open the files with this extension on the WordPad, but it is officially not supported on the same.
