SGD File

Category: Raster Image Files

What is a SGD file?

SGD belongs to the Raster image files group. Developed by Syngene, it is a binary file extension that GeneSnap uses to store electrophoretic gel images. These images are useful in understanding the DNA and RNA, along with their fragments. It complies with the GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and cannot be modified after saving.
GeneSnap allows the users to export it in other lossy as well as lossless formats too. Users can choose to convert it to a TIFF, GIF, or BMP format, or you can save it in WPG, TGA, and JPEG too.
