What is a PDN file?
PDN file extension belongs to the raster image category and is used by Paint.net, which is a free photo editing software for Windows OS. Rick Brewster has developed the format at Washington State University with help from Microsoft. Primarily found with Windows XP, it surfaced to be a replacement for MS Paint Software that the OS generally uses.
The PDN files can support multiple layers, different bit-depths, several image effects, settings, and transparency too. Users can export them in other formats to a more acceptable standard which more software can access.
